It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clay Berrier (Davidson, North Carolina), who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Clay may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Phillip and Elzie Pitts Berrier; and his son Kenneth Clay Berrier. He is survived by: his wife Odessa McCoin Berrier; his daughter Bonnie Lynn Berrier of Kernersville; and his sister Violet Nichols of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by numerous friends and caregivers.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Canaan United Methodist Church (1760 Shady Grove Church Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107). Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Canaan UMC, 1760 Shady Grove Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 or to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
