He was predeceased by: his parents, Dossie Soles and Mildred Soles (Dow); his wife Mary Sue "Suzie" Soles (Dillon); his daughters, Wanda Lowman and Angela Soles; and his siblings, Jesse Soles, Terry Soles, Robert Soles, Elizabeth Fountain and Peggy Fox.
He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy Jo "PJ" Crotts (Bobbie), Tonya Laine and Eugenia Soles (Robin); and his siblings, Franklin Soles, Tommy Soles, Janet Price and Janice Tucker. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davidson Funeral Home (858 Hickory Tree Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Hill Cemetery (401 W Holly Hill Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
