It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Emerson Kunkle Jr. (Davidson, North Carolina), born in Camden, Arkansas, who passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Emerson Kunkle Sr. and Hattie Grace Hood Kunkle; and his sister Maxine Norman. He is survived by : his wife Mae Frances Braswell Kunkle; his children, Gary Monroe Kunkle (Monique) and Cynthia Lynn Ferree (Chuck); his grandchildren, Caitlyn Kunkle, Megan Kunkle, Lars Kunkle and Victoria Ferree; his nieces, Adrienne Norman and Christina Norman; his nephew Jim Norman; his brother-in-law Bill Braswell (Susan); and his caregiver Paula Walsh.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Elmer's honor to the Alzheimer's Association, or Hopewell Baptist Church - Youth Mission Fund to continue his legacy of compassion and service.
