He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Emerson Kunkle Sr. and Hattie Grace Hood Kunkle; and his sister Maxine Norman. He is survived by: his wife Mae Frances Braswell Kunkle; his children, Gary Monroe Kunkle (Monique) and Cynthia Lynn Ferree (Chuck); his grandchildren, Caitlyn Kunkle, Megan Kunkle, Lars Kunkle and Victoria Ferree; his nieces, Adrienne Norman and Christina Norman; his nephew Jim Norman; his brother-in-law Bill Braswell (Susan); and his caregiver Paula Walsh.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Elmer's honor to the Alzheimer's Association, or Hopewell Baptist Church - Youth Mission Fund to continue his legacy of compassion and service.
