In the vast expanse of eternity, Eva shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Eva farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Garvey and Katie Garvey; her daughter Alice Faye Gillen; and her siblings, Earl Gravey, JB Gravey and Mary Ann Morrell.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Bryant of Rose Hill, NC, Linda Jarrett of Lexington, NC, Loretta Greene (Rudy) of Lexington, NC, Lorena Luffman (Randy) of Teachey, NC and Reverend William "Billy" Cooper, Jr. (Janice) of Bolivia, NC.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gospel Fellowship (3121 Alex Trask Dr, Castle Hayne, NC 28429). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Smith Cemetery (831 Mote Rd, Harrells, NC 28444).
