He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Brooks and Opalee Brooks; and his son Dylan Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Brooks; his sons, Austin Brooks of Mooresville, N. C. and Logan Brooks (Amy) of Greenville, S. C.; his brother David Brooks (Vickie); his mother-in-law Dorothy Brown; his siblings-in-law, Debbie and Scott Sellers; his close friend Jack Kirkland; Kathy. He is also survived by his nephews, great-nieces, and cousins.
