He was predeceased by : his father Gil Alexander; his former life partner Annette Dishman Alexander; his sisters, Hazel Shumaker and Theresa Lyon; and his grandson Joseph Brown.
He is survived by : his wife Alice Alexander; his children, Jeff Alexander, Mary Brown (Larry) and Sylvia Ervin (George); his stepchildren, Marilyn Lackey (Steve), Terry Barkley (Jesse) and David Christy (Lara); his grandchildren, Hannah (John), Daniel, Sara, Katie (Ian), Elizabeth (Will), Clay and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Myla, Luca and Stella; and his brother Norman Alexander (Brenda). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
