He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas James Ward and Nora McCulley Ward Wise; the mother of his child Vicki Ann Edwards Wyatt; and his siblings, Arden, Acel, Orien, Farron, Voyd, Leon, Verma, Iris and Clella.

He is survived by : his daughter Elizabeth Ward Pierce (Scott) of Clemmons; his brothers, Dwen and Burdette Ward; his granddaughters, Jameson Leighann Dale Pierce and Jennifer Gordon; and his great grandchildren, Zander Lee and Kaylee Marie.
