She was predeceased by : her parents, Luther Burgin and Mary Margaret Scronce (Thames); her husbands, Edgar Stowe Beam, Sr. and Robert Turner Hoyle; her grandson Lee Taylor Beam; and her brother Luther.

She is survived by : her son Edgar Stowe Beam, Jr. (Janis) of Davidson, NC; her grandsons, Stowe (Daniella Reichstetter), David (Sarah) and Rush (Erin Lane); her daughters, Carlette Beam Peters (Mike) of Raleigh, NC and Roberta Hoyle (Ron Luciano) of Greensboro; and her friend Dr. Ray Lowder. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren.
