We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2023, at the age of 90, Isla Mae Sanders of Davidson, North Carolina, born in Lancaster, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William Benjamin Sawyer and Lena Maude Richardson Sawyer; her siblings, Edith Sawyer Cash, Nettie Sawyer Clark, Wayne Brooks Sawyer and William Eugene Sawyer; and her husband Paul E. Sanders.

She is survived by : her son Glenn E.; her daughter-in-law Mary W. Sanders; her stepgranddaughters, Kristian Hart (Brian) of Durham, NC and Kathryn Woods (Matt) of Lenoir, NC; and her stepgreat-granddaughter Annie Karsyn Woods of Lenoir, NC..

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care 2347 Simonton Road Statesville, NC 28625.
