Jerry L. Sloan Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry L. Sloan of Davidson, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on December 10, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Sloan and Winifred Seale Sloan; and his brother James Sloan (Sandra). He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his children, Timothy (Elise), Jeffrey (Melinda), David (Melissa) and Betsy Grossman (Ira); his grandchildren, Benjamin (Alicia), Andrew (Samantha), Kathleen, Katherine, Michael, Caroline, Joseph (Cynthea), Henry, Colin Sloan, Alison and Amanda Grossman; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Jack, Ford, Matilda, Grace and Lola Sloan; and his sister Dixie Pristas (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be planned in 2021 at Ohio University, where Jerry and Jeanne met, fell in love and got married.
