It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Gaston of Davidson, North Carolina, who passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Banks Dunn and Thelma Evelyn Hawley Dunn; her husband John Theodore "Ted" Gaston, Sr.; and her sister Sylvia Whitley. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Barkley (Whit), John T. Gaston, Jr. (Lori) and Gary Gaston (Andrea); her grandchildren, Matt Ashmore (Tiffany), Heath Barkley (Angela), Lauren Forman (Ben), J. T. Gaston, III (Blair), Spencer Gaston and Jennifer Clement (Michael); her brother Ken Dunn (Fern); and her brother-in-law Max Whitley. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
