It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melissa Ann McClure of Davidson, North Carolina, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter F. McClure Jr. and Billie Ruth McClure (Fikes); and her sister Melanie McClure. She is survived by : her husband Christopher Ley; her former life partner David Griffiths; her daughter Naomi McClure-Griffiths (David McConnell); her stepdaughter Amelia Ley; and her granddaughter Madeleine McConnell-Griffiths.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the North Shore Animal League America or to the Pacific Northwest College of Art Scholarship Fund.
