He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Earl McKinnish and Helen Elizabeth Everhart McKinnish; his wife Beuna Allene Lowe McKinnish; his children, Jeff McKinnish and Carla McKinnish; his brother Kenneth McKinnish; and his grandchildren, Bethany McKinnish and Tad Deal.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Wright (James) and David McKinnish (Tina); his grandchildren, Sara Wright, Amber King (Kyle) and Brad Deal; and his great grandchildren, Bethany Brousseau, Liam Wright and Zoey King.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Hinkle Hospice House in Robert's memory, in appreciation of their compassionate care.
