He is survived by: his mother Lila McWaters Pickrel; his wife Peggy Carolyn Basinger Pickrel; his children, Tammy Honbarger (Junior) of Salisbury and Donald Pickrel (Amanda) of Mocksville; his sister Terri Lamb (Jimmy) of Concord; and his grandchildren, Jill Broome (Shannon), Ashley Straight, Aletha Gonzalez (Andrew Howard), Brandon Honbarger and Stephanie Honbarger. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
