It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sybil Kay (Davidson, North Carolina), born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Otis Mahaffey and Ruby Mahaffey; her husband Donald Kay, Sr.; and her sister Jane Fox. She is survived by : her brothers, Larry Mahaffey and Doug Mahaffey; her sons, Donald Kay, Jr. (Lisa) and Jerome Kay (Joy); her granddaughters, Morgan Lyda (Cory), Madison Kay, Jennifer Herring (John) and Jordan Cooner (Will); and her great grandchildren, Jones Lyda, Elizabeth Herring (Ellie) and Jackson Herring (Jack). She is also survived by her family and friends.
