He is survived by: his daughters, Dana Nelson (John) of Davis, NC, Anna Smith of Davis, NC and Kara Smith (Tommy Fulcher) of Davis, NC; his sister Raelene "Plum" Rosselli (Chic) of Raleigh, NC; his sister-in-law Rebecca "Becky" Smith of Morehead City, NC; his grandchildren, Lauren Salter, John Phillip Nelson and Morgan Nelson Taylor; his nephew Ted Smith of Beaufort, NC; and his extended family, Lois Letchworth, Tammy Davis, Brenda Willis, Kelsey Richards, Holly Lawrence and Karen Nelson. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
