He is survived by: his wife Edith; his stepson Lanny Wilson; his pet Sammy; his daughter Kelly Proffit (Eric); his granddaughter Gracie Silvers (Dakota); his great grandchild Tinsley Silvers; his granddaughter Lily Proffit (Levi Sadler); and his siblings, Judy Mann, Janie Aldridge (Richard), Johnny Tester (Donna) and Junior Tester.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church (169 Cornerstone Ln, Deep Gap, NC 28618). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
