She was predeceased by : her parents, Allie Baxter Miller and Clemmie Alice Miller; her children, Melissa Finnie Ward (Jonathan) of Newland and Casey J. Ward; and her siblings, Katie Brown, J. D., Clonie, Vaughn, Glenn, Tacy, Curley, Curtis of Frankie, J. L., Ronnie and Kenny Miller.

She is survived by : her husband Johnny Ward; her children, Wesley Ward (Sarah) of Roan Mountain, Tennessee and Jeannie Miller (Darrell) of Deep Gap; her grandchildren, Alexus, Josiah, Lincoln, Urijah, Ezra, Elisha and Jacob; and her siblings, Gloria Miller, Joey Miller (Madalene) of Lenoir, Donnie Miller of Deep Gap and Kelmer Miller of Lenoir.
