She was predeceased by: her son Andy Doyle Hicks; her father Doyle Hicks; and her stepfather Jay E. Mash. She is survived by: her husband Christopher O'Connor; her son Johnny Calvin "J. C." Hicks of Deep Gap; her stepson Jack O'Connor; her mother Ella Mae Greene Mash of Deep Gap; her grandson Doyle Lee Hicks of Deep Gap; and her aunts and uncles, Randall Greene, Lloyd Greene, Ira Greene, Kathy, Ann Jordan, Gayle Miller and Evonne Worley.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Hampton Funeral Service (683 Blowing Rock Rd, Boone, NC 28607). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hampton Funeral Service to help with the funeral expenses.
