He is survived by: his daughter Renee Hamby (Doug) of Deep Gap; his grandchildren, Candice Ward of Sugar Grove and Josh Hamby (Stephanie) of Boone; and his great grandchildren, Molly Ward Lawrence (Grant), Katie Ward, Titus Hamby, Tilden Hamby, Talon Hamby and Tesa Rose Hamby.
