He was predeceased by: his father William Odell Boles, Sr.; his wife Shirley Ann Ingram Boles; his siblings, Elizabeth Tate, Dottie Boles, William Thomas Boles, Sr., Joe Don Boles, Sr. and Harold Ray Boles; and his daughter-in-law Tammy Boles.

He is survived by: his son Billy Lee Boles, Jr. of Linwood; his brother William "Rusty" Odell Boles, Jr. (Linda) of Florida; his granddaughter Logan Kirkus (Brock) of Lexington; and his great grandchild Barrett Kirkus.
