She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Woodrow Buie and Dallas Lanier Buie; her grandson Seth Hedrick; her parents-in-law, Robert C. and Mildred Y. Carroll; and her siblings-in-law, Archie Hedrick and Nancy C. Brown.
She is survived by: her husband R. James Carroll (Jimmy); her daughters, Kristin C. Winters (Don) of Thomasville, Jennifer C. Hinesley (Lee) of Asheboro and Holly C. Hughes (Ben) of Asheboro; her grandchildren, Ella, Caroline, Emma, Luke, Sawyer and Colt; her siblings, Alice B. Hedrick of Lexington and Kenneth Buie (Bonnie); and her sister-in-law Joan C. Briggs (Jack).
