He is survived by: his children, Eddie Short III (Kelly) of Union Hall, VA and Sabrina Ann Caps (Jerry) of Rocky Mount, VA.; his sisters, Teresa Morgan and Tina Burris; his grandchildren, Taylor Short, Austin Short, Hailey Dudley, Katelyn Carty, Gracie Stroop and Christopher Carty; and his great grandchildren, Sanayia, Daylen, Xander, Logan, Waylon and Ayla.
