He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lee Cook and Johnsie Holshouser Cook; his son Jonathan Kyle Cook; and the mother of his children Beverly Poindexter. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Cook (Joni) of Lexington and Samantha Cook (Josh Smith) of Denton; his grandchildren, Karlie Cook, Kelly McBride, Troy Cook, Sunshine McBride and Michael McBride; and his sisters, Cathy Jones of Denton, Karen Cook of Denton and Lori Ann Boyer of Albemarle.
