He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Archie Workman and Dorothy Lamb Workman; and his siblings, Will Archie Workman, Jr., Lee Workman, Alvin Workman, Robert Workman, Richard Workman, Denie Hill and Elma Cody.
He is survived by: his stepson Gary Layton; and his siblings, Rickey Workman (Rhonda) and Ethel Freeman (Gary). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
