He was predeceased by : his parents, Sidney O. Briggs and Ola Beanblossom Briggs. He is survived by : his wife Joan Caroll Briggs; his children, Daniel L. Briggs (Laurie) of Lexington and Jodie Carroll Briggs of Brooklyn, NY; and his grandchildren, Sidney Leier Briggs, Lyndon Carroll Briggs, Hadley Worth Briggs and Jack Daniel Briggs, II.
