We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2025, at the age of 91, Jerry Winfred Harris of Denton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Harris and Faye Lyons Harris. He is survived by: his wife Darlene R. Harris; his children, Scott Harris (Sandra) and Vicki Sewell (Chuck); his sister Carol Morton; and his grandchildren, Chris Jennings (Kara), Michael Harris, Brian Harris (Mona), Angela Harris, Josh Harris (Callie), Jason Lee, Nathan Lee and Jeremy Yerdon.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Briggs Funeral Home (103 E Salisbury St, Denton, NC 27239). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel (103 E Salisbury St, Denton, NC 27239). The military honors will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
