It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marshall Smith of Denton, North Carolina, who passed away on May 22, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Smith and Elbie Scarboro Smith; his wife Clara Hoover Smith; his grandson David Surratt; and his brother Willard Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donice Loflin (Roger), Pansy Hunt (Doug) and Patricia Smith; his sister Doris Harris (Hoyt); and his caregivers, June Gailey, Patricia Parrish, Dr. Baker, Helen and Cyndie. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
