It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Hughes Mullis of Denver, North Carolina, who passed away on May 19, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Douglas' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Douglas has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Nellie Hughes Mullis and Perry Mullis; his son Jeffrey Dean Mullis; and his brother Ken Mullis. He is survived by : his wife Linda Mullis (Payne); and his grandchildren, Hannah, Courtney Mullis and Tyler Mullis (Elizabeth). He is also survived by his family and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (300 S Main St, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at the Hilcrest Gardens Cemetery.
