She was predeceased by : her parents, Oscar Outen and Nannie Outen; her husband William Ray Hudson; and her siblings, Lulu Brooks, Becky Welsh, Dela Carnesboth, Eva Hinson, Mickey Whitaker, Jimmy Whitaker, Curtis Outen and Jerry Outen.

She is survived by : her children, Ray Hudson (Chrystal), John Jefferson Wilson, Brenda Kay Hudson (Andy) and Wanda Ann Gibson; and her brother Len Outen (Sandy). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A reception was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Services - South Chapel (1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052).
