He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Barnes and Dorothea Barnes; his wives, Carol Barnes and Ann; his son Steven; his sons-in-law, Leo Hutchins and Steve Fred; and his brothers, Frank and Gene.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Hutchins (Randy Shaw), Diane Lucas, Lisa Trematore (Glen) and Greg Barnes (Kathleen).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Mt Holly (300 S Main St, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
