He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hagler Ramsey; his daughter Wendy Burkhouse; his son-in-law Cliff Burkhouse; his grandchildren, Chloe and Jaxson Burkhouse; his brother George Gary Ramsey; and his nephew Gary Ramsey (Bub).

“It has been said that from the moment we are born we have a date with death. In the early morning of Thursday, August 26 we lost one of the good ones. Larry had 50+/- years of bringing joy and laughter to so many before we met him. I will forever cherish the years Kathy and I had making memories with Larry and Shirley. The pontoon rides, the Key West trip, the bobcat excursion (lol) and of course, the countless hours at SOS events! I will miss the memories we won't have a chance to make!”
