She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Avery and Stella Davis Avery; and her husband Phillip Larry Rogers. She is survived by: her children, Phillip Rogers of Cornelius and Susie Rogers Furr of Maiden; her siblings, Bob Avery of Crouse and Diane Avery Neal of Crouse; and her grandson Logan Furr of Maiden.
A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (2552 Boomer Rd, Boomer, NC 28606). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Christ Methodist Church.
