Walter leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Walter’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Walter will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Strader and Cleta Strader; his stepmother Alberta Strader; and his stepsister Leta Mae Sax. He is survived by: his wife Suzan Strader; and his sons, Vance Strader (Deborah) of Asheville, NC, Matt Strader (Rebecca) of Charlotte, NC and Chad Strader (Kristina) of Napa, CA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 1 great grandson; along with many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Walt's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Urban Promise of Charlotte or VIA Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
