She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Morris and Hallie Ball Disher; her husband William E. "Bill" Poindexter; and her brother Morris Disher. She is survived by: her sons, William A. "Drew" Poindexter (Tracy) and Zane D. Poindexter (Lori); and her grandchildren, Salem Poindexter, Stratton Poindexter, Holden Poindexter and Avery Poindexter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Fairview Baptist Church (7659 NC-268, Dobson, NC 27017). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. Until Covid, Betty volunteered for Hospice, further serving her community.
