Charles Alvin Dockery Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Charles Alvin Dockery of Dobson, North Carolina. Charles, born on March 6, 1951, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilmer Monroe and Juanita Steele Dockery; his wife Vickie Moser Dockery; his son Jonathan Hastings Dockery; and his brother-in-law Steve Helton.

He is survived by: his son William Charles Dockery; his sisters, Janie Dockery Helton and Amy Dockery; his nieces and nephews, Melissa Taylor, Melanie Sloop, Bronwyn Sloop and Dockery Sloop; and his caregiver Kasie Scott.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (215 W Kapp St, Dobson, NC 27017). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Dockery Family Cemetery.
