It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilda Simmons Harbour of Dobson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dewey and Huldah Nichols Simmons; her husband Wade Lee Harbour; her daughter Pamela Harbour; and her siblings, Barbara Cruise, Madge York, Mary Sue Jarvis, Imogene Radford and Wayne Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Harbour Whitaker (Kent), Lisa Harbour Caudle (Tim) and Wade Lee Harbour Jr.; her daughter-in-law Teresa; her grandchildren, Brandon, Holly Whitaker, Brian, Amy Whitaker, Sabrina, Sean Courter, Benjamin, Laura Whitaker, Zachary, Carrie Caudle, Beth, Caleb Cosby, Wade Lee Harbour III, Abby Harbour, Tess Harbour Bryant and Ethan Bryant; her great grandchildren, Anna, Kate, Jaxson, Reese, Raegan, Piper, Cameron, Brynlee, Jetta, Corbin, Callen, Mary Addison, Conley and Rose; and her siblings, Frances Peacock, Eugene (Betty Simmons) and Dean (Carole Simmons). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Level Cross United Methodist Church (4080 Siloam Rd, Dobson, NC 27017). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
