James Edward Cave Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Cave of Dobson, North Carolina, who passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Guy and Dessie Jennings Cave; his wife Ivagene Lewis Cave; and his siblings, Frances Freeman, Carrie Cave, Otis Cave, Herman Cave, Travis Cave, Clinton Cave and Britt Cave.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Cave Davis, Barbara Cave Smith, Gayle Edward Cave and James Kenneth Cave; his grandchildren, Randall James Cave, Amanda Gayle Evans, Michelle Davis Hill, Kayla Patricia Davis and Lewis Mitchell Smith; and his sister Blanche Whitt. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Hope Baptist Church (818 Prison Camp Rd, Dobson, NC 27017). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 818 Prison Camp Road, Dobson NC 27017.
