He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Beatrice Nichols Evans. He is survived by: his father John David Evans, Sr.; his wife Priscilla Hayes Evans; his children, Charlotte Britton (Gene Jr.), Yvonne Bartlett (Scott) and Richard Vincent Evans (Rhonda); his grandson Christopher Evans; and his siblings, Shirley Mitchell, J. D. Evans, Jr., Fred Evans (Brenda) and Alvin Evans (Janice). He is also survived by grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church (1548 Old Hollow Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
