He was predeceased by: his parents, George Toop, Sr. and Viriginia Cotton Toop; his wife Cathy Toop; his brother George Toop, Jr.; and his pet John Henry.
He is survived by: his children, Tobi Vanpelt (Scott Vanpelt, Sr.) and Shane Toop (Renee Toop); his grandsons, Scott Vanpelt, Jr. (Cynthia Vanpelt), Justin Vanpelt, Joshua Toop and Evan Toop; and his siblings, Linda Roman, Steven Toop and Peter Toop.
