He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herman and Wanda Thompson; and his brothers, Travis Thompson and Toby Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Denna Stanley Thompson; his sons, Charlie "Jake" Thompson (Laura) and Joseph Aaron Haynes (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Carson White, Lindsay, Jaron Haynes (Shyanne), Hunter Thompson, Charley Thompson and Jackson Thompson; his sister Rebecca Ann Marion; his brother-in-law Donald; his brother Tim Thompson; and his sister-in-law Catherine. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations be made to the Snow Hill Baptist Church cemetery fund in honor of Todd.
