He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine Phillips Lassiter; his daughter Reba Vasquez; his grandson A. B. Lassiter, IV; and his sisters, Sarah Godwin, Rossie Adams, Edith Reid and Ann Reilly.
He is survived by: his children, Emily Ellis (Eddie), Gwana Arcuri (Bob), Joan Peterson, Aldridge Benton Lassiter, III (Tanis) and Eddie Godwin.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funereal Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333).
