He was predeceased by : his parents, Calvin Lee Rouse and Dorothy Hines Rouse; and his siblings, Timothy Rouse and Amanda Howard. He is survived by : his wife Gail Rouse; his children, James Lee Rouse (Brenda) and Rena Mason (Steve); his siblings, L. R. Rouse (Donna), Sue Tyndall (Dennis) and Billie Jo Dunn (Ben); his grandchildren, Ashley Jacobs (Chris), Jeremy Rouse (Emilee Mercer), Cassidy Mason and Lena Rouse; and his great grandchildren, Haven Jacobs, Emma Rouse, Jordan Rouse and Isabella Jacobs.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 5:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM. Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333).
