He is survived by: his wife Nancy Joann Mozingo; his children, Sharon Mozingo Edwards, Richard Mozingo, Donald "Ray" Mozingo (Tina), Jeffrey Mozingo (Christine), Jonathan Newsome, Joseph Newsome and Joshua Newsome; his grandchildren, Madison Combs (Colby), Justin Hoffman, Jessica Williams (Deonte), Tyler Hardison, Tiffany Mozingo, Christopher Mozingo, Cayden Mozingo, Hannah Newsome, Devin Newsome, Tytianna Newsome, Liliana Newsome and Kaleb Newsome; and his great grandchildren, Amelia Hoffman, Adalynn Hoffman, Clyne Combs, Ace Combs, Chase Hardison, Braxton Hardison and Wesson Touchet.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at the Wayne Memorial Park (2925 US-117 N/A, Dudley, NC 28333).
