He is survived by: his caregiver Glenn; his sister Joyce Gray of Georgia; his son-in-law Edsel Garris of Goldsboro; his daughter Michelle Johnson of Pikeville; his grandchildren, Eugene Garris (Melanie) of Goldsboro, Genean Carter Spivey of Goldsboro, Chris Garris (Brittany) of Goldsboro, Missy Carter of Goldsboro and Michael Sigmon (Bristina) of Goldsboro; his nephews, Joe, Chuck Darden of Goldsboro and Jason Carpenter of Georgia; and his niece Lisa Phillips of Georgia. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
