With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Robert Potter Sr. (Dudley, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin Potter and Nannie Wiggs Potter; and his wife Gaynell Mitchell Potter. He is survived by: his children, John Potter, Jr. (Lorrie), Marilyn Grantham Wallace (Mike), Yvonne Mason (Joe), Debbie Farmer (James, Jr.) and Angel Novak (Jon); and his sister Sarah Ann Cook. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). A celebration of life was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at the Brogden Chapel Church Cemetery (1060 Emmaus Church Rd, Dudley, NC 28333).
