He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Faison McCullen and Anna Geneal Summerlin; and his sisters, Dixie Sutton (Melvin) and Jennifer Parker. He is survived by: his son John W. McCullen, II (Andrea) of Raleigh, NC; his granddaughters, Avery and Olivia McCullen; his close friend Joyce Herring of Newton Grove, NC.; and his brother F. McCullen (Faye) of Mount Olive. He is also survived by half-brother; a half-sister; and several nieces and nephews.
