She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Edward Pate and Margaret West Pate; her husband Newton Gerald Bartlett; her son Doug Bartlett; and her siblings, Charles C. Pate and Peggy Pate Howell.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Bartlett (Darlene), Charles Bartlett (Diane), Jeff Bartlett (Connie), Kevin Bartlett and Melissa B. Harris (Barry); her daughter-in-law Anne Lee Bartlett; her grandchildren, Judith Gray (David), Amy Marie Bartlett, Amy Bartlett Rich (Corey), Michael Bartlett (Leslie), Matt Bartlett (Leigh Ann), Lauren Bartlett, Devin Eubanks (Kristal) and Ian Eubanks; and her great grandchildren, Braxton, Audrey, Christopher, Emmi, Mary Lynn, Landon, Ashton, Cruz, Elisha and Emma Lynn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Wayne Memorial Park (2925 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333).
Memorial contributions may be made in Marlene's memory to The First Pentecostal Holiness Church for the Generations Center, 1100.
