She is survived by: her children, William Haywood "Buster" Wells Jr. (Lisa), Roger Earl Wells (Maria Hewitt), Susan Wells Jones (Jimmie), Wilma Wells Brown (Robert) and Nancy Wells Autry; her grandchildren, Jimmie Jones Jr. (Kristene), Christopher Jones, Frankie Shingleton (Sara), Joy Lindsey (John), Heather Wells, Tammy Howell Walker, Amanda Howell Pope (Johnny) and Ashley Howell Capri (Larry); her great grandchildren, Jared Jones (Michelle), Mark Salisbury, Sami Norcross (Brian), Ramie Shingleton, Barrett Shingleton, Kayla Taylor, Brandon Kamer, Christiana Taylor, Tyrone Fields, Payton Lindsay, Kaitlyn Pope, Mason Pope, Kaden Sheets, Gage Sheets, Laci Capri, Landon Capri, Piper Capri and Paisley Capri; her great great grandchildren, Lyric Taylor and Melody Taylor; and her close friend Reneé Pennix. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wayne Memorial Park (1191 Old Grantham Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27530).
