He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edwards and Hazel Bailey Edwards; his grandchildren, Dylan Lively and Ashley Head; his brother Pete; his sister-in-law Grace Edwards; and his sister Pamela K. Edwards Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Ella Louise Edwards; his children, Donna Adams (Andy), Ronnie Edwards and Stacy Whittington (Russ); his grandchildren, Brian, Brandi, Brandon, Brittani, Jessica and Emili; his great grandchildren, Savannah, Jayden, MacKenzie, Nolan, Leland and Zachary; his brothers, Joey Edwards (Cindy) and Wilbert Edwards (Wilma); and the mother of his children Sandra Grady. He is also survived by nieces & nephews; and 4 stepchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at the Patetown Cemetery (215 Church of God Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
